The DAGV is the umbrella organization for genealogical and heraldic associations in Germany. She was born on 28/29. Founded in Frankfurt am Main on 1 May 1949, its registered office is in Stuttgart.
The umbrella organization sees itself in the tradition and successor of the "Working Group of German Family and Coat of Arms Associations" founded in Kassel on November 29, 1924, and our motto is "d etegimus antiquorum generum v estigia" "We explore the traces of old generations"
